The throat chakra, or Visuddha has the corresponding colour blue or turquoise. It is located at the throat. The element associated with it is ether.

The energy of this chakra is concerned with self expression and communication, both verbal and non verbal. The throat chakra is associated with our dreams and our creative side, truth telling good judgement and wisdom. balancing the throat chakra energy enables us to communicate more freely. It helps us claim our personal power.

When this chakra is in balance we are considered and thoughtful with our communications.  We are aware of how they affect those around us. We are able to express our needs and our desires, and maintain personal integrity with our communications- just speak ‘our truth; without being hurtful to others.

Connect to yourself by tuning in and ask: ‘what message do you have for me today?’

When this chakra is out of balance, we are likely to be over talkative and to speak about nothing in particular. When this is the case, it is very difficult for us to listen, and those around us are unlikely to spend very long listening to us.
