Are you struggling with weight management? Maybe you want to be more disciplined when it comes to nutrition? Maybe you overeat? Or maybe you crave sugar or junk food often? Or maybe you undereat?
I have the answer. Grapefruit Essential Oil
Referred to as a “forbidden fruit” and one of the “Seven Wonders of Barbados,” Grapefruit was first documented in 1750 by Welshman Rev. Griffith Hughes. The name “grapefruit” is attributed to the fruits growing in clusters which resemble those of grapes. Known for its energizing and invigorating aroma, Grapefruit oil helps create an uplifting environment. Grapefruit essential oil is also renowned for its cleansing and purifying properties and is frequently used in skin care for its ability to promote the appearance of clear, healthy looking skin.
Grapefruit can also support a healthy metabolism when used internally.* It can reduce appetite, food intake and body weight. I love to put 2 drops in my water every day.
If you are new to my blog here are a few tips on how to use essential oils safely before we dive into the oils themselves. Be careful: remember that essential oils are powerful, so handle them carefully. Do not use undiluted on the skin unless your extensive research tells you otherwise.
It’s crucial to use high quality essential oils when using them internally, even if they are a little more expensive. These oils that I use are highly recommended. You don’t want to be consuming anything you’re not confident about.
Despite what others might say, you should never suffer any side effects from using essential oils, only positive ones! If you suffer from rashes, hives, skin sensitivity, or anything strange when using an essential oil, stop using it immediately!
To be on the safe side, it’s always a good idea to perform a patch test before using a new essential oil. If you have any questions, click https://calendly.com/amswellness/15minand book a free 15 min consultation to discuss your needs and which essential oil can help you.
There has been a study to show that postmenopausal women have experienced weight loss after massaging grapefruit essential oil (in combination with other essential oils) on their tummies twice a day for 5 days each week. The participants in the study received a full body aromatherapy massage and at the end of the 6th week experienced a reduction in waist circumference.
One of the reasons that I love to diffuse Grapefruit Essential Oil daily is that it helps balance my mood. As we know citrus essential oils have positive effects on mood and anxiety, with Grapefruit Essential Oil being at the top of the list for me.
Another great benefit of Grapefruit Essential Oil is that it may help reduce stress and lower blood pressure. One study shows that inhaling grapefruit essential oil and lavender essential oil has immediate and long term effects on lowering blood pressure and stress.
